Everything Nautical is proud to present the Sandy Neck Lighthouse, Massachusetts, Animated Tide Clock. This stunning clock tracks the tide in true nautical fashion. While the dial counts away the hours between tide cycles below, the top is mechanically animated to show the changing sea level in real time. At high tide the water will sit at the edge of the pylons, and slowly lower to reveal the sandy beach before beginning to rise again.

The Sandy Neck Lighthouse was built in 1827 on a 1/2 mile wide by 6 mile long sandy peninsula on the north end of Cape Cod at the entrance to Barnstable Harbor, Massachusetts. The original light, powered by 10 lamps, shone from a 16ft wooden tower that rose from the center of the keeper’s house. In 1857 this was replaced by the brick tower that is today's Sandy Neck Lighthouse. This lighthouse was officially decommissioned in 1931, after the shifting sands of the peninsula built up on the north end of the island, making its position less important. Today it is privately owned, but still a well-love part of the historic coastline.
