While the dial counts away the hours between tide cycles below, the top is mechanically animated to show the changing sea level in real time. At high tide the water will sit at the bottom edge of the rocks and slowly lower to reveal the beach before beginning to rise again.

Located on the East side of Buzzards Bay in Massachusetts, the Wing's Neck Lighthouse was originally established in 1849. The current lighthouse was built in 1890 and ran for more than 50 years before being deactivated in 1945. It still stands strong today with its 1890 keepers house and 1849 oil house still intact. While it is no longer open to the public, it is a stunning and historical view for passing boats.
